Hello to the home front, The Viper team has grown. We are now referred to as the EMiTT (enhanced MiTT). Our 1-71 brothers have vacated the FOB and we now own it. The lines for the phones and chow are gone. Many of the Viper team members are working TOC jobs now as we no longer have an Iraqi battalion to work with. I’m sure the wives back home are quite comfortable with that. The rainy season is in full effect here in the Tuz area. Today it is actually a snow/rain mix. There has been flight after flight cancellations over the last few weeks. Some of the FOB has been under water for while now. I’m sure when it is back in the 100s here in a couple of months we will be missing this cool weather. Hats off to our FRG. I know it’s been a little hectic as we are moved from group to group. I think as long as our MiTT core group remains strong, you will be effective with anyone else. Your soldiers are performing superbly and making a difference here. Until next time, stay safe and God speed. |
